01

GETTING STARTED

Do I need Pilates experience?

Not at all. Every class offers options so you can work at your own level, and you’ll learn the foundations as you go. Classes are designed to make you feel comfortable, regardless of experience.

Are men welcome at ALIGND?

Absolutely. ALIGND is for everyone, and men are always welcome in our classes. Reformer Pilates is a brilliant way to build strength, mobility and core control, whether you lift, play sport or you’re brand new to it. Every class has options so you can work at your own level, and you’ll feel right at home.

What should I book first?

We recommend the 28-Day Reset, our guided first month for beginners: 28 days of unlimited classes, free grip socks, a bring-a-friend pass and our 14-day guarantee (conditions apply). Prefer to try one class first? A casual class is $35. Prices are current at the time of writing and may change.

How long are classes?

Classes run for 45 minutes.

What should I wear and bring?

Comfortable clothes you can move in, like leggings or shorts and a fitted top, plus a water bottle. You’ll also need grip socks for class.

Do I need grip socks?

Yes, grip socks are required for Reformer classes for your safety, as they help you stay steady on the equipment. Don’t have a pair? Grip socks are available to purchase in-studio.

How early should I arrive?

Give yourself a few extra minutes so you can settle in, pop your socks on and, if it’s your first class, let your instructor know.

MEMBERSHIPS & PAYMENTS

How do memberships work?

Choose ALIGND Two, Three or Four (that many Reformer classes a week), or ALIGND Unlimited (up to 3 classes a day). Memberships are paid by weekly debit, with no lock-in contract, and are subject to class availability. Your weekly class entitlement resets each week. Membership terms are set out in our Terms & Conditions.

When do payments come out?

Weekly membership payments are debited on the same day of the week you purchased your membership. For example, if you joined on a Tuesday, your payment comes out each Tuesday.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my membership?

Yes. Email us with 7 days’ notice, and your new membership will take effect from your next billing cycle.

What happens to classes I don’t use?

Your weekly class entitlement resets each week. As a courtesy, we may allow unused membership classes to roll over for up to 14 days, at our discretion. Any rolled-over classes not used within that time expire.

How do I cancel my membership?

Email your cancellation request to hello@aligndpilatesstudio.com.au at least 7 days before your next billing date. Requests received later may result in one additional payment being processed. Please note that cancelling or removing your payment method does not cancel your membership.

Can I pause or suspend my membership?

Yes. Email us at hello@aligndpilatesstudio.com.au with your pause dates, and your membership will resume automatically on your return date. For extended breaks, we recommend giving 4 weeks’ notice. We may limit excessive or repeated pauses.

Is Mat Pilates included in memberships?

Yes, Mat Pilates is included with every ALIGND membership.

Do class packs expire?

Yes. A 5-class pack is valid for 2 months, 10 classes for 3 months, 20 classes for 6 months and 50 classes for 12 months from purchase. A casual class is valid for 30 days. Unused classes are forfeited on expiry, and class packs don’t include membership perks.

Can I get a refund?

Memberships, class packs, casual classes and intro offers are generally non-refundable, including for classes or credits you don’t use. Any refund, credit or extension for unused purchases is at our discretion. This doesn’t affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. See our Terms & Conditions for full details.

Can I share or transfer my class credits?

Class credits can be shared with or transferred to another active ALIGND member, with studio approval. Credits can’t be redeemed for cash.

Can I return or exchange a product?

Retail items, such as grip socks, can be returned or exchanged for change of mind at our discretion, provided they are unused and in their original condition. If an item is faulty, you’re entitled to a remedy under the Australian Consumer Law. Please contact us with your proof of purchase.

Do you have a refer-a-friend program?

Yes. Send a friend your referral link from the ALIGND app. When they make their first purchase, you’ll receive $25 studio credit. Terms and conditions apply.

BOOKING CLASSES

How do I book?

Book on our timetable page or in the ALIGND app. Choose a class, tap Book, and log in or create your account.

Yes, with our Book a Buddy service. Link your account with a friend or family member in the app, and you can book classes for each other.

What is your class cancellation policy?

You can cancel a booking up to 2 hours before the class starts. Cancellations made within 2 hours of the class start time may forfeit that class credit and incur a $10 late cancellation fee. If you don’t attend a class you’ve booked without cancelling (a no-show), the class credit is forfeited and a $15 no-show fee may apply. Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may result in booking restrictions. Please cancel through the app or website, as we can’t accept class cancellations by phone, email or social media.

How do waitlists work?

If a class is full, tap Join Waitlist on the timetable or in the app. If a spot becomes available, you’ll be notified by text message and email. Once you’re booked into the class, our standard 2-hour cancellation policy applies, so please keep an eye on your notifications.

Can I bring my kids?

INJURIES & HEALTH

Can I do Pilates with an injury?

Many people with injuries can take part, but it depends on you and your injury. If you have an injury, recent surgery, pain or an ongoing health condition, please get advice from your GP or physiotherapist before starting, and follow their guidance. Movements can be modified, and our instructors can suggest alternatives.

Should I tell my instructor about an injury?

Please do, before class starts. Let them know about any injuries, pain or conditions so they can suggest modifications and alternatives that suit your body.

What if something hurts during class?

Stop and let your instructor know straight away. You can rest at any time, and your instructor can suggest an alternative. Muscle fatigue can be normal, but stop if you feel pain, dizziness or anything unusual, and seek medical advice if it continues.

Can I do Pilates while pregnant or after having a baby?

Please get clearance from your doctor, midwife or a women’s health physiotherapist before taking part, and let your instructor know how far along you are or how long since you gave birth, so they can suggest options for you.

Is Pilates a replacement for physio or rehab?

No. Our classes are group fitness classes and aren’t a substitute for medical treatment, physiotherapy or rehabilitation. For diagnosis or treatment, please see a qualified health professional, who can also advise whether our classes suit you.

The information on this page is general in nature and is not medical advice. Please speak with a qualified health professional about your individual circumstances before starting any new exercise program. All bookings, memberships and purchases are subject to our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. Nothing on this page limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
